Children need to be at practice and games on time and picked up on time afterward. Your children are part of a team and the team counts on everyone being there on time. If your schedule prohibits you from having the children there on time, please make prior arrangements with someone else so your child is not late. Please remember to also be there to pick them up promptly after practice. No child likes to be the last one waiting with their coach to be picked up.
Bad behavior will not be tolerated. This means during practice as well as game day. We expect that your child is participating because he/she wants to. No child will be permitted to be disruptive during the practice or game. This also applies to all of us as spectators. These are children who should be out there learning fundamentals and teamwork. While we all want to see our kids win, it is not the Super Bowl and they are not professionals so keep this in mind while you are attending games and practice.
Practices:
Football practices will be held at the American Legion Field on Williamson Road.
Because of the construction at GASD complex NO 2011 GAMFA Practices will be held at the school grounds.
It is very important that all participants be at every practice ON TIME and ready to practice. Late arriving players disrupt the events of the practice and causes them to be embarrassed. Please make arrangements to have your child at the practice on time. If something is scheduled that causes your child to miss, please contact their coach. The players playing time in the next game may be affected if they miss practices. Missing practices becomes a safety concern for all players.
It is your responsibility to have arrangements for your child to be picked up immediately after practice. Coaches are not always able to stay afterwards to insure your child is picked up.
If an issue or concern arises between you and any of the coaches that could cause emotions to get high, DO NOT CONFRONT them during or after practice or games. Doing so may cause you to violate the Parent Decorum and risk sanctions against you as outline in the Parent Decorum that was issued and signed for at registration. Please notify a grievance committee board ASAP and they will assist you with handling the problem. A copy of the Parent Decorum is available by clicking on the Parent Decorum folder at the top of this page

Parent Meeting:

NOTE: 1) Physical forms MUST be turned in or proof of pre-scheduled Dr's appointment shown before equipment will be distributed.
2) A parent/guardian must accompany your child for equipment to be distributed.
3) A parent/guardian must sign the equipment release form and must sign up for Game Day before any equipment will be distributed.
4) All fund raiser money your are responsible for must be turned in prior to your equipment being distributed..
Equipment & Uniforms:
Your child will be fitted for their equipment. The pads, helmet and mouth guard are to be used once practice starts as the coach describes. The Uniform Pants & Jersey are NOT to be worn for practices! The uniforms are to be cleaned for each game if needed and cleaned prior to turn in.
You will need to purchase practice pants. You can get them at any of the sporting goods stores. They generally sale out quickly so watch the store ads for them to be available. You can get pants that fit the pads that we issue or you can buy practice pants with padding already in them. It is recommended that you get your football participant a protective cup also. Practice jerseys do not need to be fancy or expensive. You can have them wear an old shirt that will fit over the shoulder pads but that is not to long that it interferes with their movements or could cause them to trip or be easily grabbed for. Shoes should be football type with spikes NO METAL SPIKES!!
It is also recommended that you get a second mouth guard. If they loss their mouth guard and do not have one, they can not practice or play. We try to have extras available for emergency during games, but we can not guarantee we will have one if your child needs one. Also it is better to have them already formed to their own mouth for comfort reasons.
Repairs to the protective pads and helmets will be preformed by the coaches or staff. Inform the coach of any equipment problems as soon as you are aware of them. They will have repair equipment available to repair most of the issues. All others will be exchanged at the shed.
Any questions about your equipment can be answered by your coach.
Equipment will be returned immediately following the final game for the season. Please bring a change of cloth for your child to change into after the game.
Team/Squad Picture Day:
Team/Squad picture day will be schedule before official games start. We ask that all participants arrive NO LATER 15 min prior to the start time you are given. Please have your child ready in there game day uniform. This year you will be required to PRE PAY for the year books. More information will be given to you by the coaches prior to due date. If you do not Pre Pay for the year books you order, you will not get one. We are not ordering extras to sale this year. We also have many year books left over from previous years that have been ordered and were never picked up and paid for by the individuals that ordered them.
